When trying to play audio in Internet Explorer 11 (IE 11), you may see the following error:

"Windows Media Player cannot play the file because there is a problem with your sound device. There might not be a sound device installed on your computer, it might be in use by another program, or it might not be functioning properly."

IE 11 can sometimes block webpages from playing audio, which we can't change from Oplift, but you can try these steps:

  1. Open Internet Explorer, click the Tools button,
  2. Click Internet Options. Tap or click the Advanced tab
  3. Under Multimedia, select Play sounds in webpage.
  4. Click Apply, OK.

If these aren't available, or doesn't work, please contact your organisation's IT service desk.
